California Hospital Medical Center first opened its doors in 1887 to serve the residents of Los Angeles. More than 120 years later, hospital continues to deliver compassionate, quality healthcare. Today they offer caring, expert staff and state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing needs of community. California Hospital Medical Center was founded in 1887 by Dr. Walter Lindley and two other physicians. It was originally a three-story building located at 315 W. Sixth Street in Los Angeles.
